Dr. Michael Tassone
Focus: Sports medicine, pain management (acute and chronic), digestive health, rehabilitation, prolotherapy, PRP & other advanced injection therapies
Dr. Tassone takes to heart the Naturopathic principle “Doctor as Teacher” and encompasses this value in every aspect of his professional practice. Dr. Tassone formerly taught Orthopedic Assessment & Physical Medicine at Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (BINM), and is a past Instructor in the RMT Program at VCC-Kelowna. He is currently a registered Continuing Education Instructor with RMTBC, Public Health Instructor at BINM, and a BC Board Examiner for the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC (CNPBC). He currently sits on the National Advisory Board for Cyto-Matrix. He regularly offers educational sessions with Nature's Fare Markets on a variety of health topics. His passion as an Educator keeps him up to date on emerging therapies and is the cornerstone of his approach to patient care. He believes in finding the root cause of a patient’s health concerns, and ensures his patients understand how they can take control of their own wellbeing. When not in the clinic (or marking students’ assignments), you can find him getting lost in nature or immersed in the kitchen creating delicious gluten-free, dairy-free meals...(yes, they can be delicious).
Dr. Lauren Tomkins
Focus: Women’s health, pregnancy and postpartum support, hormone imbalances, fertility, thyroid conditions, menopause, children's health
Dr. Tomkins is a Naturopathic Doctor with a focus in women’s health and hormones. She is passionate about helping women feel their best and empowering each of her patients to take control of their health through education and awareness. She is a past Instructor in the RMT Program at VCC-Kelowna and is currently a registered Continuing Education Instructor with RMTBC. She regularly provides educational sessions with Nature’s Fare Markets on a variety of health topics, as well as speaking at a variety of events and wellness retreats throughout the Okanagan. When not in the clinic, you can find Dr. Lauren enjoying the Okanagan lifestyle - adventuring from the farmers’ markets to wineries, soaking up the sunshine at the lake, skiing the local mountains, and hiking the many trails with her rescue dogs, Maddie, Millie, & Ed.
Dr. Kelsea Parker
Focus: Post-concussion syndrome, TBI recovery, sleep, mental health
Dr. Parker is a Naturopathic Doctor and Okanagan newcomer raised in small town lake life. She aims to authentically connect with her patients to help educate, guide and empower them towards their optimal health. Dr. Parker has a passion for brain health and balancing the nervous system including anxiety and depression, stress, insomnia, post-concussive syndrome and traumatic brain injuries. When not seeking further knowledge you can find her chasing sunsets on her paddleboard or exploring the surrounding great outdoors by water, forest or mountain peaks.
Registered Massage Therapist
Focus: Pregnancy and postpartum, sports injuries, myofasical release, trigger point therapy
Catherine is a Registered Massage Therapist who is passionate about helping people achieve their goals and live their best and most healthy lives. During her RMT program, she learned how to do a thorough assessment, treat a wide variety of pathologies, and how to use hydrotherapy and therapeutic exercise effectively. In her free time, Catherine enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time outside in the sunshine.
Registered Massage Therapist
Focus: Myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, postural alignment
Dani is a Registered Massage Therapist with a passion for getting her clients moving and feeling better. With an understanding of the importance of physical and mental wellbeing, Dani works hard to make the atmosphere comfortable and easy-going for her massage clients, while getting to the root cause of the problem and establishing an individualized treatment plan. Having experience with many different walks of life from kids to geriatrics, neurological disorders, athletes, and clients struggling with mental health, Dani loves to work with all clients on their journey to optimal health. When Dani isn't working in the clinic, you will likely find her spending time with her dog, enjoying the outdoors, or catching a live show in the evening with some friends.
Registered Massage Therapist
Focus: Athletes and weekend warriors, performance optimization, deep tissue massage
Breanna is a Registered Massage Therapist who was born and raised here in Kelowna, BC. She graduated from Vancouver Career College - Kelowna Campus in 2019. She's passionate about getting people back to their activities and improving their overall daily lives. She loves to educate her clients so they can better themselves outside of the treatment room. She uses a combination of deep tissue, fascial and relaxation techniques to decrease pain and improve postural imbalances. When Breanna's not at work, you can find her at the gym or outdoors with her dogs.
Registered Holistic Nutritionist
Focus: Weight loss, detoxification, stress management
Originally from the East Coast, Amanda came to the Okanagan in 2014 with the promise of sunny skies and warmer weather! Amanda is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist who specializes in weight loss, detox and stress management, and loves to help her clients find simple, yet effective ways meet their health goals. In her free time, you can find Amanda frolicking in the kitchen, hosting great workshops, hiking the local trails, or soaking up the sun on Okanagan Lake.
Focus: Office organizer extraordinaire, keeper of our sanity, coffee lover, camping enthusiast
Shonah is going to be the main voice over the phone when calling the clinic to book your appointments or when you have questions! Coming from a background of administration and having most recently worked for a chiropractic clinic, Shonah has a passion for health and making your clinic experience seamless and easy. She is not only an amazing administrative resource for the clinic, but also a great resource for the Okanagan, having lived here for 15 years. When Shonah isn't organizing, making lists, answering calls and taking care of our patients’ front-end needs, you can find her camping the back country with her husband and dachshund Bentley. She is also a talented artist, with her own paper crafts and painting company called Part n Parcel Studio.
Front Desk Receptionist
Focus: Service with a smile, hardworking Mom of 2, spin class enthusiast
Ashleigh comes to us with a background in office administration, having previously worked in a multi-disciplinary clinic. She will be at the front desk Thursday evenings, Fridays and Saturdays for all of your booking needs! When she isn't at the clinic, you can find Ashleigh chasing her daughters at local playgrounds or on a spin bike. Ashleigh spends a lot of time enjoying the Okanagan with her family, as they are avid skiers, campers and hikers.
